Abstract
Patients with borderline personality disorder were found to have a significantly greater number of soft sign neurological abnormalities when compared with a group of normal control subjects. Sensitivity analysis revealed that the presence of two or more soft signs differentiated the two groups statistically. The authors speculate that nonfocal soft sign neurological abnormalities may reflect underlying central nervous system dysfunction, which may in turn be associated with the development of borderline personality disorders.Entities:
