Abstract
We report a case of toxic shock syndrome occurring after an excisional skin biopsy in an otherwise healthy woman. Her clean-appearing wound grew Staphylococcus aureus and was implicated as the source of toxin. Dermatologists should be aware that toxic shock syndrome may occur as a complication of simple dermatologic surgery.Entities:
