Abstract
Bronchogenic cysts arise as congenital anomalies of the primitive foregut. Although bronchogenic cysts arising from and partially occluding the trachea have been reported in adults, this entity has not as yet been documented in children. We report a case of an infant with respiratory distress resulting from an intratracheal bronchogenic cyst. In view of its ability to create airway compromise, the pathogenesis, preoperative evaluation, and surgical management of this rare lesion will be discussed.Entities:
