Abstract
The clinical details of two cases of typhoid fever in pregnancy are described. The first patient contracted the disease in the third trimester, with successful outcome for both mother and baby. The second patient became infected in the first trimester, with the complication of underlying cardiac disease. This resulted in typhoid endocarditis contributing to fetal loss. A survey of the literature is presented and treatment recommendations outlined.Entities:
