Abstract
Three cases of the very rare spontaneous unilateral adrenal hemorrhage in adults are described. The main symptoms are hemorrhagic shock, flank pain and fever in some cases. Most important for diagnosis are ultrasound, i.v. pyelogram and computed tomography. In case of emergency computed tomography is the most decisive diagnostic step before removing the adrenal gland. The preferred operative approach is through the 10th intercostal space. No Postoperative corticoid hormone substitution is necessary.Entities:
