Abstract
This paper discusses the results of a survey of all general practitioners and counsellors involved in attachments in the area covered by the London Marriage Guidance Council. The replies of both counsellors and doctors were generally enthusiastic and few problems with attachments were encountered. However, while subjective accounts are positive, it seems essential that more objective research into effectiveness should be conducted if counsellors are to argue their case for being paid.Mesh:
