Abstract
Fibronectin (FN) was found to participate in the formation of the newly formed epidermis of the basement membrane zone (BMZ) in the process of reepithelialization, as observed in experimental animal models. By means of microautoradiography as well as macroautoradiography of wounded rats, plasma FN was observed to specifically accumulate in the newly formed BMZ of the wound region. I thus presume that plasma FN would be positively involved in the adhesion and extension of epithelial cells in the process of reepithelialization.Entities:
