Abstract
Since the introduction of cervical cerclage for management of the incompetent cervix, few late complications of the procedure have been reported. We report a late complication of cervical cerclage manifested as a trigonal ulcer. Trigonal erosion by the knot of a mersilene ligature that had been placed around the cervix 22 years previously caused the ulcer. Endoscopic removal of the offending ligature allowed complete healing.Entities:
