Abstract
We have investigated whether the perceptual alignment of two images can be predicted from their cross-correlation characteristics. Results from two experiments demonstrate this to be the case with a variety of images varying from Gaussian-modulated sinusoid gratings to two-dimensional textures and face images.Mesh：
