Abstract
Evidence for collateral reinnervation of skin by saphenous nerve C-fibres, following either crush or section of the ipsilateral sciatic nerve, was obtained in the rat using a dye-labelled plasma extravasation technique. During the period of regeneration of the crushed nerve the spread of collateral reinnervation was halted and may even have been reversed.Entities:
