M Rustemeier.

Abstract

The posttraumatic synostosis between radius and ulna is one of a rare but grave complication in case of forearm-fracture. Only a few successful treated case-reports are described. This case reports upon a young man with a second-degree open elbow-joint-debris-fracture. Following a proximal radio-ulnar-synostosis happened. Eight months posttraumatic the radio-ulnar-synostosis was operatively eliminated. Subsequent an intermediate dura-cuff was implanted after partial resection of the membrana interossea.
