Small-bowel obstruction after conservative treatment of gastric bezoar.

S K Kilam, M M Cohen.

Abstract

Gastric bezoar is an uncommon complication of gastric procedures. Increasingly it is managed by pharmacologic or endoscopic manipulations. The risk of intestinal obstruction after nonsurgical therapy is illustrated by two cases that were successfully managed without resorting to enterotomy.
