Public health modeling and populations at risk to sexually transmitted diseases.

D L Peck.

Abstract

Creating public awareness of the new wave of sexually transmitted diseases masks the fact that gonorrhea continues to be the major communicable infection related to sexual activity. This report evaluates public health models that focus on the carriers of gonorrhea. Data pertaining to patients who were examined and treated at a public health clinic are discussed in light of the prevailing models of populations at risk to sexually transmitted diseases.
