Abstract
Fracture of the carpal scaphoid usually results from a fall on an outstretched dorsiflexed wrist. Snuffbox tenderness is an important clue. Because the fracture line may not be visible on the initial roentgenograms, follow-up films are often required. Direct palpation of the distal pole of the scaphoid can enhance the evaluation of wrist pain.Entities:
