Abstract
Familial multiple lipomatosis is a hereditary syndrome of multiple lipomas occurring in a particular distribution. It is clinically distinct from multiple symmetric lipomatosis with which it is frequently confused in the dermatologic literature. A case of familial multiple lipomatosis is reported and a review of this condition is presented in an effort to resolve the confusion in the literature about familial multiple lipomatosis and multiple symmetric lipomatosis.Entities:
