Chronic fibular ligament injury of the ankle in young children: a new method of ligament repair.

K K Dittel.

Abstract

A rare injury in young children at the ankle joint is described. In two cases a chronic fibular ligament insufficiency was found. Both children were treated operatively by extraepiphyseal plate ligament plasty, which gave excellent stabilization and no permanent disability.
