J T Bennett, H H Alexander, R T Morrissy.

Abstract

A child presented with osteopenia and non-displaced fractures of the radius and ulna. One year later, a pathologic fracture of the right femoral neck led to the diagnosis and treatment of the parathyroid adenoma. The differential diagnosis of osteopenia in children and adolescents is discussed.
