Abstract
The isolation and characterization from Halichondria panicea of the long chain aldehyde (Z)-17-tetracosenal (1), one of the longest ever isolated from a marine sponge, is described. Structural assignment of the compound was confirmed by spectroscopy (1H-NMR and MS) as well as by selective ozonolysis.Entities:
