Abstract
To efficiently treat short-range shotgun wounds to the face, it is imperative to have a basic understanding of the causes, pathogenesis, probable extent of initial injury, primary treatment principles, and secondary reconstruction problems associated with these injuries. This paper deals with these basic principles in an attempt to provide a guide to the treatment of these devastating injuries.Mesh:
