Metastatic colonic carcinoma to the testes: case report and review of the literature.

S J Jubelirer.

Abstract

A case of metastatic carcinoma to the testes from the colon is reported and 14 previous case reports reviewed. The range in age of reported patients was 18 to 76, with a median age of 51 years. The clinical presentation in most cases was testicular swelling or hydrocoele. In three cases, the testicular lesion antedated the discovery of a primary colorectal cancer. The majority of patients had other widespread metastases at the time testicular involvement was diagnosed. In older patients who present with a testicular mass or hydrocoele, the differential diagnosis must include metastatic carcinoma.
