Visual characteristics of natives in Fiji, South Pacific.

S Andrist, R L Yolton.

Abstract

Data on natives of rural Fiji who have not previously received any vision care are presented. The Fijians were found to have a distribution of refractive errors showing a strong tendency toward emmetropia. The frequency of ocular health problems was found to be low but to increase with age.
