Wound closure in obese patients.

R A Kozol, D Fromm, N B Ackerman, R Chung.

Abstract

A five year randomized prospective study was carried out to compare subcutaneous drains versus a type of stay suture closure in morbidly obese patients. While acceptable wound infection rates were found, no statistical superiority was established between these types of closures.
