Differential inhibition of bacterial growth and hemolysin production by lincosamide antibiotics.

A M Shibl, I A Al-Sowaygh.

Abstract

Lincomycin and clindamycin, at concentrations below those which partially inhibited bacterial growth, completely suppressed the production of streptolysin S. Chloramphenicol and erythromycin had no effect on hemolysin production.
