CT appearance of nidus in osteoid osteoma versus sequestration in osteomyelitis.

S Mahboubi.

Abstract

Osteoid osteoma is a benign osteoblastic tumor usually diagnosed by conventional radiography. Computed tomography can be used preoperatively to localize the nidus and avoid unnecessary or misdirected resection. In this report CT appearance of the nidus in osteoid osteoma versus sequestration in osteomyelitis is presented.
