Abstract
The impact of thyroid scintigraphy on the working diagnosis was evaluated in 204 consecutive patients referred for thyroid testing. The a priori and a posteriori diagnoses were discordant about one third of the time. The differences were highly significant (P less than 0.001) in the cases of uninodular and multinodular goiter.Entities:
