Abstract
This paper reports the findings of an anatomical study of the primary and secondary muscular branches of the thoracodorsal artery within the latissimus dorsi muscle. Twenty latissimus dorsi muscles were studied, harvested from 13 fresh cadavers and the findings support the hypothesis that it is possible to thin safely a latissimus dorsi muscle flap at the time of flap transfer.Mesh：
