Abstract
John Davies Reese was a unique "loner" whose expertise lay in the field of bioengineering. This led to his development of the calibrated dermatome that bears his name. A bachelor, Reese devoted all his spare time to perfecting dermatape, glue, and the instrument itself.Mesh:
