Abstract
In the external ear canal, residual water from caloric testing or any other irrigation may act to simulate a conductive hearing loss and interfere with subsequent auditory brainstem response recording leading to increased latencies and reduced amplitudes. This artefact in the ABR may be mistaken for a retrocochlear lesion.Entities:
