Abstract
The traditional 0 degree (straight-ahead) location of the loudspeaker during insertion gain measurements is a poor choice, based on theoretical considerations, from the standpoint of measurement repeatability. In a series of experiments, we were able to demonstrate that a location 45 degrees to the side, or 45 degrees up and 45 degrees to the side, provided a much more repeatable measurement of basically the same insertion gain response.Mesh:
