Abstract
The case of an adult patient with acute hydrocephalus due to a vein of Galen malformation is reported. Ventricular shunting, apart from relieving the hydrocephalus, also resulted in shrinkage of the malformation and of the visual field defect. The possible mechanisms involved in this phenomenon are discussed.Entities:
