Abstract
A 5-h infusion of a lipid suspension or saline was given on separate occasions to four healthy volunteers taking amitriptyline. Mean plasma levels of amitriptyline plus nortriptyline were 14% higher at the end of the lipid infusion but the difference was not statistically significant. Infusion of a lipid suspension is unlikely to materially affect the severity of amitriptyline intoxication.Entities:
