Haemophilus parainfluenzae vertebral osteomyelitis.

Abstract

Haemophilus parainfluenzae is a normal inhabitant of the nose and oropharynx. The authors report a case of adult vertebral osteomyelitis due to this organism that occurred 3 months after nasal septoplasty. Successful therapy was accomplished by a combination of inpatient and outpatient therapy.
