Abstract
Sixteen complement components were analysed at three different occasions during a normal pregnancy. Samples were also obtained at delivery and six weeks post partum. All factors but C1 IA and D increased during the pregnancy. Six weeks after the delivery, the levels of all components but C1s, C4 and C6 showed a beginning normalisation. In 15 per cent of the women, C1 IA was functionally inactive at delivery.Entities:
