Abstract
Dendritic cells (DCs) are the most important antigen-presenting cells and are pivotal in initiating effective adaptive immune responses to induce immune tolerance and maintain immune homeostasis. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is chronic, intestinal inflammatory and autoimmune disorder. DCs participate in IBD pathogenesis. This review is aimed at briefly discussing the role of DCs in IBD and the relationship between them and highlighting the prominent role of these cells in the treatment of these disorders.Entities:
