B Fishel, D Caspi, I Eventov, E Avrahami, M Yaron.

Abstract

A patient with systemic lupus erythematosus who developed osteonecrosis in 13 sites is presented. Most lesions occurred while corticosteroid dose was increased during disease exacerbations. Pathogenetic mechanisms are reviewed and possible simulation of polysynovitis is discussed.
