BMD, Bone mineral density(mg/cm2).
The NHANES used a complex design. Weight was taken into consideration. Continuous variables are shown as weighted mean and SE, while categorized variables are described as frequency and weighted percentage. All data were analyzed based on weighted estimates with sample weights provided by NHANES.
normal vs. osteopenia, P < 0.01.
normal vs. osteoporosis, P < 0.01.
osteopenia vs. osteoporosis, P < 0.01.
Non-parametric test was used to compare the median levels of continuous variables and chi-square tests were used to compare the distribution of categorical variables.
