Figure 1A representative example of R-DWILs. In a 92-year-old female with right occipital lobe hemorrhage (A), diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) shows a small remote ischemic lesion on the left frontal lobe (B), with corresponding low signal intensity in the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map (C).

Q1 means the lowest quintile group and Q5 means the highest quintile group of each SBP variable. Model 1 was adjusted for age, sex, initial National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, fasting blood glucose, time to magnetic resonance imaging, hematoma volume, and high-grade white matter hyperintensity. Model 2 was adjusted for all variables in model 1 plus mean blood pressure. Abbreviations: R-DWILs, remote diffusion-weighted imaging lesions; BPV, blood pressure variability. SBP, systolic blood pressure; SD, standard deviation; CV, coefficient of variation; SV, successive variation; OR, odds ratio; CI, confidence interval. The italic values mean p < 0.05.
