Abstract
Four patients with alexia without agraphia had CT lesions which correlated with the clinical findings. All lesions were vascular; two were spontaneous intracerebral hematomas and two were ischemic infarctions in the posterior cerebral artery distribution. The lesions were located in the posterior portion of the dominant hemisphere. The location of the lesion correlated with the presence or absence of visual field abnormalities.Entities:
