Mortality in systemic lupus erythematosus.

E Ginzler, A Berg.

Abstract

Many factors influence survival in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Earlier diagnosis and advances in treatment have led to improved survival. In an attempt to establish meaningful survival statistics for patients with SLE, a group of 9 medical institutions formed the Lupus Survival Study Group. We review their data and particularly the data from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, NY.
