Delayed union of the distal scaphoid in a child.

Abstract

A case of delayed union of the distal pole of the scaphoid in a child is reported. The fracture united after a period of immobilization. A trial of immobilization should be considered before embarking on operative treatment for delayed union or nonunion in children.
