Abstract
Implants of corundum ceramic have been used in the treatment of 38 patients with bony tumours of the limbs. Data are presented concerning the replacement with ceramic implants of the joint ends and diaphyseal defects of long bones, as well as in various bones of the hand and foot. Experiments carried out over a long period have shown that corundum ceramic is a strong material and is biologically inert.Entities:
