Abstract
BACKGROUND: Physical activity (PA) and sedentary behaviour (SB) assessment in children is critical for the prevention of noncommunicable diseases. African studies examining PA and SB of primary school-age children are few. This study investigated PA, SB levels and their correlates among primary school children in Lagos, Nigeria.Entities:

Same subscript letter denotes a subset of gender categories whose column proportions do not differ significantly from each other at the 0.05 level. Note: YAP scores could not be categorised for levels of self-reported PA for children aged 10–12 years because of lack of data for categorisation. *—significant p-value.
Table 4 shows the results of the correlation matrix for the relationship of PA with participants’ sociodemographic, cardiovascular, and anthropometric variables.
