Abstract
Two leishmanial isolates from dogs from Alexandria, Egypt, were typed serologically and biochemically as Leishmania major. This is the second time that L. major has been shown to occur in dogs. The significance of these findings as a misleading phenomenon in relation to the relatively recent outbreak of infantile kala-azar in the area of Alexandria is discussed.Entities:
