*Significant difference of distribution in S100A7 staining (cytoplasmic, nuclear and membrane) as well as the staining intensity among the OSCC group, OPMD group and the inflammatory lesions, with the OSCC group having the highest scoring (irrespective of the age), #OR cannot be calculated as none of the inflammatory lesions showed nuclear staining, $P < 0.05 were considered statistically significant.
