Elucidation of a poisoning case from the analysis of formalin in which brain tissue was preserved.

H Tsoukali-Papadopoulou.

Abstract

The toxicological analysis of post-mortem materials often help determine the cause of death. When tissues have been fixed in formalin it may be possible to extract several drugs from the tissue and/or the preserving fluid. An unusual case of multiple poisoning is discussed from the aspect of laboratory analysis.
