Abstract
Background: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a trauma-related psychological disorder with serious social and familial impacts. The involvement of 5-hydroxytryptamine transporter gene-linked polymorphic region (5-HTTLPR) in numerous mental disorders has been documented.
