Abstract
Virulent and avirulent plaque variants of Chikungunya (CHIK) virus were compared with the prototype and other strains. Interference with infective virus growth or mouse pathogenicity only occurred in the presence of small plaque (SP) variants in homologous systems. Possible mechanisms for this are suggested.Entities:
