Abstract
Introduction: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common complication of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) for male patients and it is considered to be associated with different causes including hyperglicemia-induced vascular endothelial cell damages. However, the possible central neural mechanisms shared by these two diseases remain unclear. This study aimed to explore the changes of brain activity and their relationships with the clinical characteristics in patients with diabetic ED.Entities:

DM-ED, T2DM patients with erectile dysfunction (ED); HCs, healthy controls. M, male; F, female. IIEF-5, 5-item International Index of Erectile Function. HbA1c, hemoglobin A1c; FBG, fasting blood glucose. a indicated that P values were obtained from two-tailed independent samples t-test; b indicated that P values were obtained from Mann-Whitney U tests. P<0.05 indicated statistically significant differences.
Brain regions showed differences in ReHo values between DM-ED and HC groups.
