Abstract
[Purpose] The usefulness and limitations of outcome measures changes throughout functional decline of patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This study aims to describe associations between outcome measures in patients with ALS over time. [Participants and Methods] Participant data was collected at a multidisciplinary ALS clinic during regular clinic visits, including gait velocity, Timed Up and Go, the ALS Functional Rating Scale-Revised, and it's Gross Motor Subscale.Entities:

Data are Correlation coefficients (R), Spearman’s rho. TUG: Timed Up and Go; GV: Gait velocity; ALSFRS-R:
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) functional rating scale-revised; GMS: Gross motor subscale of ALSFRS-R; GMS-Bed, GMS-Walk, GMS-Stairs: Individual functional components scored in the ALSFRS-R which total to create the GMS score; 1st S/S: First Signs/Symptoms of ALS; Dx: Diagnosis of ALS; 1st MDC visit: 1st visit to multi-disciplinary ALS clinic.
**Correlation is significant at the 0.01 level (2-tailed), *Correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (2-tailed).
1Correlation coefficient is R, Pearson’s product moment.
