Abstract
Purpose: The age-related decline in physical function is ameliorated by physical activity; however, less is known about changes in physical function in active vs. inactive older women. The purpose of this study was to determine the longitudinal associations between physical activity and physical function in community-dwelling older women.Entities:

Inactive group = precontemplation, contemplation, and preparation stages of change. Active group = action and maintenance stages of change. P-values were obtained using chi-square tests for categorical variables and t-test for continuous variables.
Results of the repeated measures ANCOVA, controlling for age at baseline, examining physical function performance by activity groups at baseline and 48 months.
